This is a beautifully composed and executed shot- congratulations- I like it very much.

Ah, this is great, excellent B&W, never had the pleasure of fishing this lake but know of it’s past reputation for it’s big trout.

Thanks for the comment. I think you might mean big Pike. It’s not exactly reknowned for it’s trout as the big Pike have them all eaten!

A lovely image that I would have loved to have taken.

Perhaps you could have included all of the tree on teh right.

Is there anything you can do to correct teh burnt section in teh sky (in teh centre)?

Could have done, but i strictly follwed rule of thirds to see how it would fare out. The original raw file is bigger and I could recrop it.

Now there’s where I fall down. That burnt out bit is actually the sun so it is very bright. I’m not skilled enough with GIMP to tone it down. Any adjustments I make are relatively simple.
    However, we can keep learning!

    Thanks again for the comments.

Nice shot alright. I’m forever around these lakes trying to get a nice shot of a boat. I don’t think I’ve anything this good.

I use the GIMP also and I don’t think there’s anything you can do about the burnt out sun except maybe clone it out.
