Hi, its been a while since I have posted a picture and even longer a landscape.
Here is one I took at Lough Eske in County Donegal, all C&C would be welcome. It was such a lovely day and the next day I couldn’t see past my nose because of the fog. Thanks for looking any comments welcome.

BuckParticipantSodafarlMemberThznks fof the comments Noel. Apart from some straightning so as not to get the horizon police shouting at me, I am happy with the picture but will definitely give the contrast a try.

brendancullenParticipantHi Soda – nice image. Agree with previous comments regarding contrast.
I did a quick conversion using this tutorial. http://pstutorialsblog.com/50/contrast-mask-photoshop-tutorial/
Heres the result.
SodafarlMemberBrenden Thanks for the comments and the time taken to post your link and image.
Cheers

Green glensParticipantGreat image Carl. Not sure wether the contrast mask works for this. i made some adjustments using the lasso tool
and increasing levels in some dark areas also boosting contrast in the sky. I also used hue + sat to bring out more colour,
and finally sharpened slightly.
Perhaps a smaller aperture would help along with a reduction in ISO speed. A very good shot
good to see you posting again…..John!SodafarlMemberJohn,
Thanks for the comments, I can see what you have done with the picture. I think that the greens in the fields might be a bit too strong on it but like what you done with the rest. You are probbaly right about the aperture, but I would say that the couple of days spent were probably the most time I have ever had taking landscapes. Thanks

Brian_CParticipantHiya Carl, I think the third version of this is on the verge of being a stunner, a real keeper, as you say, maybe tone down the green channel on the hills. But can I sugguest another version, what about a more letterbox crop to get rid of the grass in the foreground, but keep that rock, I find the grass a little distracting. I’d then clone out that branch (or is it a weed) sticking up in the middle foreground.
The crop suggestion is more a personal thing but that branch (or is it a weed), is real annoying.
Well Done.Trev would be happy with this, eh?
SodafarlMemberHi Brian,
A long time hope you and the family are all well. Thanks for the C&C, I’m not big into changing the images after Trevor’s Digital workbook.
I’m sure he would have a couple of bits of card and a few suggestions.Soda
