Lough swilly

PaddyJoeParticipantandy mcinroyParticipant
I looked quickly at your photo and thought it was one of mine!!
I have stood in exactly the same spot in almost identical lighting and tide conditions.LOL. It is a fantistic spot. But I’ve always had trouble with this view. The dark foreground rocks are always problematic. In many ways the view is better when the tide is out to reveal more of the golden sand. If we could somehow combine your sky with my sand in this shot below then we might be onto something.

You also might want to apply some rotation to this as it seems a little lopsided.

PaddyJoeParticipantcool andy. i want to take pix like your’s. there much better than mine. thanx for lookinl.
positronMemberAh, the beautiful Lough Swilly! I was on the other shore last summer (Lisfannon) but my pictures were ermm technical problem, novice user error etc…, all I have is a relatively easy Sunset picture!
PaddyJoeParticipantnice one positron. my pic was near neds point. not so far from yours. other side of buncrana.
jb7ParticipantI hope you don’t mind me having a go at this one PaddyJoe,
Iwas just going to straighten it,
but this happened instead-It looks like theres a lot of detail available in the full version,
though I don’t know what you’ve taken the picture with –
The picture is perfectly exposed,
which would lead me to suspect you’re working from raw.A conversion from the original file would obviously offer far better quality-
There’s quite a lot of artifacts in the sky, for example-Definitely worth revisiting the place at different times of the day or year-
And if Andy’s been taking pictures from here,
well thats a reccomendation in itself, really.joseph
