Was on the way to Seefin Hill this morning and had to stop and take a pic of the gorgeous spring colours and morning light at Lough Tay and Luggula Estate below. This was taken just yards from the roadside, time constraints prevented a search for some foreground interest!
Dont post (or take) many ‘straight’ landscape shots so this was a nice diversion on a Sunday morn. This was part of a sequence (one single frame) taken for a pano, just haven’t gotten round to completing that.
Cheers both, yes the pano looks much better, the lake has more ‘room to breathe’. I very rarely do panos so the stitching is a bit awkward because I didn’t take enough shots. Hopefully will turn out ok, will post here when done. Thanks again for comments, tweaked saturation a bit, should be better now.
Nice colours Ken – and a very wide angle lens to fit all of this in. Perhaps a little bit too much foreground?
I was very close to heading up there myself yesterday for sunset (til it clouded over)
One thing that really interests me here is the amount of foilage on that curve of trees behind the estate… I’m pretty certain that they are decidous and they seem well advanced compared to most? Must have their own micro-climate down there.
