These are great Pat, I’m hoping this weather will hang around until the weekend as I can’t wait to get out and take a few snaps. Looks like you captured nice detail in your first image.

Hi Dave and thanks for the reply. I think the weather is to be similar to today, which was sunny but very cold here in Wexford.
I was anticipating this all week and looking out for the moon all afternoon. I had brought the gear back to work with me and when I spotted it, it was a lovely colour red. Then it was action stations and drive to a decent location. Pity I couldnt capture the red in the moon as in the reflection in the vista shot :roll:

Great shots Pat. Lovely detail in #1. I find the smooth water in #2 a bit distracting & think it would look better cropped out.
PS A great program for checking out when the moon etc rises / sets is Stellarium.
