Cherry tree in full blossom at the moment and it is covered in
bees, found it really hard to focus, used 70-300 Sigma lens on
Macro, any help gratefully received :D

Hope you don’t mind my coupla coppers-

It looks like you got the focus right,
but there’s a whole lot of noise in the blacks-
    is it in the processing?
it doesn’t look like the compression-

Any other movement could be the subject-

If you could get a clean image,
then a little judicious sharpening would help-

    Is this a crop?

    Nice engaging image-

Thanks for looking! I cropped it a bit had a lot of flowers in the
frame and noise could quite possibly be in processing, not great at
it, using Photo Shop elements 4, used light/contrast and levels to
adjust and sharpened a little, the bee was really in the shade so
had to introduce a little light. Need loads more practice in editing :)

Are you using manual focus? I always shoot macros in manual on the sigma, its a lot less hassle

This was on Auto focus Noely but the second attempt I did was
manual, and found it much easier. Thanks for looking ;)
