Blut00Participant May 18, 2012 at 9:11 pm IMG_4390 by Blut00, on Flickr Just got some new Macro tubes, any advice on the best (By which I mean quickest & easiest) way to identify insects? Thanks. miki gParticipant May 18, 2012 at 9:40 pm Excellent capture. Great detail. I use a few books to ID insects, but it’s not always clear from the photos which species it is. Blut00Participant May 19, 2012 at 9:11 am OK, I think it’s a ‘Ze Fly’ I’m open to correction if there are any experts out there. steelydanParticipant May 20, 2012 at 10:52 pm Could be more like Flesh Fly… beautiful shot , sharp throughout. I rely on the Collins Complete Irish Wildlife http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/Collins-Complete-Irish-Wildlife-Paul-Sterry/9780007349517″ onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false; MikkaParticipant May 22, 2012 at 8:06 pm Not sure on the ID myself but that is a great macro shot, well done………../Mikka Blut00Participant May 24, 2012 at 8:36 pm Thanks guys. Used a 32mm macro tube on a Tammy 28-75mm f2.8……………I’m amazed with the results. Mikka, you’re not without blame for me buying macro tubes :-) aoluainParticipant May 28, 2012 at 3:15 pm wow thats a good one, love the colours and the lighting! well done Viewing 7 posts - 1 through 7 (of 7 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
