Magpie antics

Hi Folks,
I was out with my new Bigma in Ardcavan in Wexford yesterday 8) . I was pointing & shooting in all directions with some good shots of, well, nothing in particular but I got this shot of a magpie. Is he jumping, is he falling…is it a he? You decide. This is from about 50ft handheld and cropped.

Falling :) Some nasty magpie whipped away his perch before
he could sit on it !! Lovely sky and colour in the wall. Well spotted
(the shot not the wall) :)This is a stunner. I love the colours, I love the composition and frozen movement of the bird. Brilliant. I think if he had been captured with his wings in the air it would be even better. Very well caught.
I reckon he’s just about to land.
Misery relief time…he was hopping along the wall and was in the middle of hopping up on this embedded bouy. I’ve another one where he’s (she’s) hopping off another bouy but this was the best of the two. The other shots were just of a magpie on a wall…yawn!
It’d have been nice to get him in flight but you takes your chances. Thanks for the feedback.
Oh, and it is a nice sky, isn’t it. Saw it about 6 weeks ago :wink:
