I have looked at this a few times.
The first time I was of the opinion that the blurring was introduced in postprocessing and it looked
a little strange and unlike blurring as a result of lens settings.
On subsequent viewing it’s still the blurring that grabs my attention and I doubt if that’s what you want.
The photograph itself looks pretty good allthough the subject is very centrally positioned.
If I am correct re the blurring and you have the original file might I suggest leaving out the blur and
cropping so that the photographer is a little to the left hand side of the frame.
Of course it’s only my opinion and I’m often wrong. :)
Thanks for the replies….The blurring was something I did…just experimenting….
“The subject is very centrally positioned”….Yeah it was a taken very spur of the moment as I wanted the Vision Express sign over his head…and I knew he would walk away as soon as he realised I was taking the pic…
Yes …it’s the same guy in newspaper photo….. I know him well….He’s my hubby…lol… “takes away from the spontaneity of the shot”..not at all…none of them in the photo knew I was across the street taking the shot…I was out with a photo group and happened to see hubby chatting to his friend the newspaper guy.
