Was on holidays in Malta last week. This is a typical street in the old capital Mdina. A place where the Maltese knights (about 200 of them with a few handfulls of farmers and withstood a 15000 strong islamitic army. And that’s a good thing otherwise we wouldn’t be all fine catholics today.
aoluainParticipantHi Peter,
Good trip then ??
Nice picture, you had good light, I like the processing although maybe a bit
heavy with the HDR !Love the red window.
any more?
Alan
justaguyParticipantI know its a bit heavy HDRed. but that gives me a painted feel to it. And since I absolutly stink at painting ( maybe thats why I took up potography, to compensate the lack of any other skill) I can at least pretend when people say did you make that?
Yeah Malta is brilliant
I really loved it. Could recommend it to anyone as long as you don’t want to go somewhere quite5faytheParticipantHi Peter,
I like that image because I find the scene very
attractive to view & can almost imagine standing
there. The red windows sit nicely in the scene and the almost
shadowless light suits.I’d like to have taken it.
Well done.
John.
DeeboParticipantYes very nice shot, very appealing .
Liked all your Malta shots thus far and fancy heading out there for a short trip as it looks a nice spot indeed

DeeThanks Dee. But I have to say that this is my first Malta shot here. The rest is still in the laptop and i have to take a look at it.
b318ispParticipantIt works well, I just find the lantern obscuring the window a distraction. You’ll just have to go back again! :-)
wirepicParticipantNice shot and well spotted. A bit too much HDR for me though. I’d have preferred to leave the street darker thus drawing the eye to the bright window. That’d be just me though!
