Me Car
-
aoluainParticipant
Was out snapping in the docks area of Galway tonight
and turned me camera on me car . . .first time shooting something like this so not sure if this works.
5faytheParticipantHi Alan,
I can’t say a bad word about that car having been ferried from
Galway City to Claregalway in it.I’m in the same camp as you and not so sure about it as a photograph.
It’s very clean. :)
Sorry I’m not being much help.
John.
aoluainParticipant5faytheParticipantHi Alan,
My comments weren’t very good or clear critique.
The picture is nicely exposed and the car looks really good.
I like the shed for some reason.I think the masts, lampost etc that are sticking up from the
top of the car are not good.I think the second crop is better.
I know nothing about car photography and I bet it shows. :?
I’d say you should try a few more. Why not?
Cheers.
John.
DeeboParticipantHi Alan
Second shot works best for me too. Like this format much better than the first.
Agree with Brian, I think its the masts sticking into the frame that spoil the shot. If you could get the car with a clean backdrop to the ocean and the barn I think this would workDee
Spicy-McHaggisMemberboth of them are gr8!
id only say the lights on the warehouse could do with some dimming!
position of the car is good but if u reverse the car a bit close and have it at an angle ie. diagonally it would work better! as you can then not only
see more of the car but u also give it some more character in the image! This car is great photography material!
The light is great and background is great!
It shows the car to be calm and yet have a big heart! and spacious!
This is what i hope to accomplish in near future if im still in europe and uk!
aoluainParticipantandy555ParticipantWestburyMemberI like the second crop better. Maybe if you cloned out the masts and add a gradient to darken the sky a bit it would help the scene. I like it though, especially the star shapes. Should come in handy if you ever want to sell the car!
Lucy-2009ParticipantSecond shot looks fab. Honda would be well chuffed with that. I think the barn adds atmosphere to the shot. Thumbs up from me
aoluainParticipantThanks for the commentas Guys and Gal!
I understand the hangups about the masts, I might try
cloning them . . .BlackBladeParticipantI like it!
it all works well for me, it could almost be from the Honda brochurephillipMembergreat shoots, what you should do next time is before you head out is buy some car mags and look at the way they shoot cars or even on the web. some pics have a the camera tilted between 30-45 degrees, it
will make it a show stopper.phillip
