    I was literally beside myself

Seen a few shots like this, and keep thinking “must do my own” but never quite got around to it. Nice choice for B&W, and looks like pretty seamless PS work. The only thing I’m not sure on is the central “you” – find it really distracting. The three “you’s” ath the front lead your eye nicely into the image, and the group at the back retain interest, but the middle guy just gets in the way (in my head anyway!!). Only other suggestion would be to straighten up the shot so the roof and floor are both horizontal (might need a little skew / perspective adjustment)

    Nice Job!

Ironically, the middle guy was the hardest to place in Potato soap, can’t do much with him now, I flattened the image.

Simply brilliant! I will definitely have to try this (except I’m not very photogenic…..which is my way of saying I’m an ugly bug….. ) So my kids will have to be roped into it instead!

    Excellent!! :D
Excuse my PS ignorance, but what does one need to do to compose a shot like that?
Do ‘you’ just select and copy the various ‘you’ from their shots and paste them into the background?

Put your cam on a tripod.

Take a shot of the room.

Take seperate shots in the same room, with camera in same place for each position of “you”

Put each picture on a layer in photoshop.

Add masks to each layer to “cover” or “expose” different bits of different shots as required.

So long as your lighting and exposure is consistent, it should be quite easy to make a seamless looking end result.

    Hope this makes sense!

    Thanks Tim.
That’s about what I thought I need to do.
Only probblem is that I haven’t really worked with masks in PS before.

Well, what better incentive to learn something new!

If you get stuck gimmie a shot – it’s quite simple when you know how!!

I highly recommend the Martin Evening Photoshop books if you want to learn more!

Simply brilliant. I’ll have to try this myself for the laugh one of these days.

This is incredible :) You could easily make a cracking series of these. Look forward to seeing more.
