hey all, looking to buy a fair priced good quality medium format camera…. single lens preferable…
anyone know of anyone selling one?
cheers all….
carrieJohnnyMcMillanParticipantGCPParticipantI have a couple of Bronicas ……….Etrs & Etrsi. Also got 50mm, 75mm, 200mm Lenses also.
They are 645 formatcarriedayParticipantnot too sure what im looking for exactly to be honest….. would love a hassleblad but a mamiya would be nice either…. im a student so am looking for something cheap-ish but good quality…. think a maximum id spend would be ?300… and hassleblads arent usually that cheap…. what would be the easiest size film to develop myself? im not too sure when it comes to medium format stuff….. if anyone has an info that might help me, that’d be great!
JohnnyMcMillanParticipantIf 300 is your budget….a TLR like a Yashica Mat 124 G might be up your alley?
carriedayParticipantmmm looks like a nice camera…. i googled it (haha…) 120mm too…. which would be nice and easy to develop…. now all i have to do is find someone selling one! any ideas?
JohnnyMcMillanParticipantjb7ParticipantFor that kinda money
the options are a bit limited-I found this on ebay-
maybe a lot of camera for the money-

You could also look at the Kiev,
a Hasselblad copy,
although most of those come from Russia-j
GCPParticipantIf that is your budget and you like a Bronica ETRS with 120 back, AEII meter prism finder and 75mm lens just give me a shout.
jb7ParticipantSounds like a good deal-
money and mouths in the same location called for now-I wonder how much that kit would have cost new-
j
GCPParticipantBought new in 1995 it was ?2378.00IR. The ETRSi would have cost ?499.00IR more. A 50mm lens (have 2) was almost ?700 each and I have a 200mm lens that cost ?1499 at the time but never used it much …….. should have gone for the 100mm at the time. I know there is a digital back & adapter that one can get now for them but I dont feel like going down that road.
They both served me well. I had an ETRS before I bought these 2 which I had running for about 9 years which was a miller of a camera but I traded it in to buy the extra lenses at the time.
I do know that at the time Hasselblad were a fortune in this country. I know other photographers who spend up to ?30,000IR on Hasselblad equipment (body, a few backs and a few lenses) and I remember seeing Hasselblad kits in
Amsterdam and in Oslo for about ?6000IR (500CM body, WLF, 120back and 60mm lens for ?750.00IR approx) so I always felt that we in Ireland were being fleeced by Hasselblad and the distributors. Some even brought them from the USA for less than a third of the irish price.ossie13ParticipantFound this may be of interest?… and within budget!!!

Just looked at it ……… its only got WLF – no prism finder, no light meter and priced at ?278.81 + extra carriage to Ireland !! (Converted from ?BP)
Very expensive I think.
carriedayParticipanthey guys, cheers for all the feedback….. some good cameras in there…… im not really looking for a prism finder and already have a light meter…. just need a very basic camera for messing around with really….. something cheap would be nice…. going to dublin on tuesday, anyone know of somewhere good to pick up a decent second hand medium format?
