memory cards

aidenParticipant
Was looking for info on cards please, something in the 50 to 100 euro range around 16/32gb should be sufficient. Reading up on sdxc cards but says computer has to be compatible to read exFAT filesystems which currently are linux, windows 7, mac OSX etc, I have windows 8 so is this not compatible and should I stick with sdhc cards.
I need cards that write fast as alot of continuous shooting and hd video I’ll be at. Any recommendations thanks.SeaviewParticipantHi Aiden, I use Transcend cards and I’m extremely happy with them, bought from 7dayshop. I’ve had a 32 GB for over a year now and it’s still working fine.

paulParticipantLook for a brand first and then cards.
Pick a well known and reliable brand – sandisk, transcend, Lexar, etc.
Personally I use sandisk, but that’s just me.
Most sites (like the sandisk site) will enable you to select cards by type, format, size, etc and will recommend those you want for your needs.
ossie13ParticipantAgree with Paul
I use http://www.mymemory.ie/” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;
Great selection of cards at all prices, and are always doing deals, Ive picked up some Sandisk at greatly reduced prices in the pass! The site has a handy “memory selecter” just enter your camera details!!
Cheers Steve
aidenParticipantHi lads thanks for replys.
Before the replys were posted for mymemory, I went ahead and bought a 32gb intergal ultima pro sdhc 45mb/sec class 10 uhs-1 at memoryC.com based in Kildare for 21 euro all in and super fast service.
I used mymemory as suggested here to buy another card yesterday, that card is a 32gb lexar micro sdhc 600x class 10 uhs-1 90mb/sec and comes with a usb 3.0 reader all for 36 euros.
Now that I’ve learned a bit about the different cards, the read/write speeds, class, size etc over the last week, I think I’ve got excellent value for my money especially considering the spec of these cards and what they can do.
Thanks
