Metz flash advice please

Calling all Metz experts.

I have inherited a very useful Metz 32CT4 flash head and bracket/grip.

After a few uses I really like the off-camera position but can’t figure out if any of the TTL features work through the sync cord or does it need an adapter to slot onto the hot shoe.

I am using the flash with a Nikon D200.

Any thoughts or advice would be deeply appreciated as I am having to guesstimate my settings at the moment – not ideal for social photography.

Hi Cormac,

I have 2 Metz 45’s and I love them. Very powerfull and great for off camera flash. I only use them in manual but if memory serves me correct you need an SCA Adapter for the D200 to get the TTL working. DML are the Metz importers here in Ireland so a call to them on 01 465 8600 should clear that up for you,
