Micro Moths

A couple of my recent shots of micro moths that have caused a bit of a stir with the Irish recorder of such at UCC. These little fellas haven’t been recorded in Waterford since before 1986. Wonder where they were hiding? :?

Maybe you just weren’t into macro in 1986 miki  Great shots wonderful detail
in them the second is my pick, but both are good. Quite hairy little fellas aren’t
they? About what size are they?

    Thanks Jenny.
They are about 5mm in lenght. I’ve only being doing macro for about 2 yrs (or less), so you’re probably right. They are unusual for moths because the adults mouthparts are fully developed & they feed on pollen.
