Microsoft codec for cameras

Microsoft have released a codec for Windows Vista and Windows 7.
You can now view many raw files through Windows explorer. Nice. :)

The first one looks like its for a 64bit architecture Microsoft OS. You’re almost certain to be the 2nd x86 installer.
I would have assumed the first is for AMD based architecture, running 64bit OS, while the second file is for Intel X86 architecture, 32 and 64bit.
I think that the first one is even for newer Intel 64 bit chips which use AMD architecture or so I read. Seems a bit strange and confusing though.
