Microsoft codec for cameras paulParticipant August 4, 2011 at 8:16 am Microsoft have released a codec for Windows Vista and Windows 7. You can now view many raw files through Windows explorer. Nice. :) http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=26829″ onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false; MarkKeymaster August 4, 2011 at 10:17 am Cool. thanks for posting. brownieParticipant August 4, 2011 at 10:29 am Thanks Paul…great. Don’t want my laptop to OD MicrosoftCodecPack_amd64.msi 8.0 MB MicrosoftCodecPack_x86.msi 4.0 MB MarkKeymaster August 4, 2011 at 2:23 pm The first one looks like its for a 64bit architecture Microsoft OS. You’re almost certain to be the 2nd x86 installer. paulParticipant August 4, 2011 at 2:38 pm I would have assumed the first is for AMD based architecture, running 64bit OS, while the second file is for Intel X86 architecture, 32 and 64bit. MarkKeymaster August 4, 2011 at 3:01 pm I think that the first one is even for newer Intel 64 bit chips which use AMD architecture or so I read. Seems a bit strange and confusing though.
