I quite like this one Rob. I say “quite” because I don’t have any affection for grey squirrels. I think there’s something interesting in the way he’s framed by well-lit and sharp grass stems.

Great shot Rob, I really like the way you managed to frame it withing the grass…

    All the best,

Great framing, unfortunately the squirrel is looking a bit dark to me.

Cheers for the feedback guys. I quite liked the framing myself, but I’m still having trouble understanding even the basics of correct exposure, hence the reason the squirrel may be a little darker than it should be  So much to learn, and I’m not getting any younger. I’m torn between shooting as much as possible in the odd moment of free time, or sitting down to read my barely thumbed brand new copy of ‘Understanding Exposure’. I guess I should sit down for a while and study :?

    Thanks again for the comments

Just got that book myself today, after reading the recommendations here…and I certainly need to read it..tho I still think I’m well within the “concentrate on composition” timeframe. Trouble is..once the book starts to get too technical my brain just freezes over and I have to keep re-reading the last line again!!

Got a book from the library the weekend called The Digital Photographers Handbook by Tom Ang which looks really good.

    Anyway..sorry for veering off topic… :-)
