does anyone use (is it possiable)
to download a jpeg to a blackberry (particular model that has a usb connection?) and email it directly from the field.
other methods?
would really appreciate any advice
mylesstcstcMembermylesrantsParticipantjust about to purchase a blackberry. so ?
was wondering was it possiable to bypass having the laptop out:
to email pic direct using the BlackberrystcstcMemberi dont think you can with the blackberry
i have a 8300 blackberry and i am sure you cant, although might be about finding the best bit of software
if you got one of the O2 XDA, which is a windows mobile device, i know they can read the JPGs
some of those devices have a card slot so you could stick the card in out of your camera and email from that
paulParticipantAlmost any mobile phone can be used as a modem for your laptop. Either using IR, Bluetooth or buy the connection cable. Most phones also come with the modem drivers/software. You then just need an ISP with a dialup service.
mylesrantsParticipantthanks alot
just checked out the o2 model on their site and it looks very possiablechanging direction to the xda
once again great minds assist
MTBIrelandParticipanthmmmmm think I remember you asking me this…. the problem was not sending from the mobile device but getting he image.. from your ‘camera’ (not a built in camera) to the inter web net… As was mentioned you have to make sure the card from your camara.. .(in your case I think a 400d) can fit in your mobile device or at least can fit with an adapter… you need to find something that takes your compact flash card and converts to mini mini whatever size the mobile device takes…. even after that though you are stuffed as you need to resize the image as sending a 4 meg image over your mobile device will take forver. Best bet is to buy a 02 or vodafone inter web net card that plugs into your laptop and lets you connect straight to the world wide web…… edit pics on laptop, send via laptop…. the job is oxo.
