Model style studio session

I joined a fellow photographer recently on a studio job and brought along a model friend also at his request, I’m not sure if Paul is here on photography ireland, but we had a great time and have arranged another shoot very soon.
This is now definitely an avenue I wish to pursue further, up until now my main work has been outdoors and I never really had an interest in studio work but I really enjoyed it, not only the shooting but the directing of poses also.
Never mind the name on the pic, I mark most of my pics online as I had trouble with a particular person copying my pics (a little strange)
I like the expression and the pose ( watch out for the fingers getting the chop ) .. for me the nit pick is that your main light is the one on the backdrop reflecting on the far side of her face .. I would prefer the main light on her to be in front, or to the side and the light hitting her eyes..

Hi Lorraine, thanks, the main light was in front and slightly to the right of me although there semed to be a reflection hitting her forehead in a few of the shots, she was slightly further back for this pose so the light for the background may be the cause of this reflection.
We had a ball and loved this pose, I have another with the fingers but it shows the underside of the chair. which takes away from the image. I am really looking forward to doing more but I have to say I am very happy with the results of my first session. The other girl I would not upload pics of as she is under 18 but I had her sit on the chair and spun it around so I caught the shot as she was turning towards me, I loved it as it was very natural and will try this again the next time also.
Any tips and recommendations are greatly received!

Good pic, good model-
As Lorraine mentioned, watch the crop-
it’s maybe a little tight to the bottom-To see the base of the chair might have been nice too-
good to get some grounding, while having the model float-The colour seems a little bit red too, could maybe do with having another look at that-
but overall, good use of the model, very relaxed,
and nice to see some good clothing and accessories-
very often those things can destroy an otherwise promising photograph-joseph
ps where is fairyville?
Thanks for pointing that out jb, I had my monitor calibrated but i think this is one that i finished before calibration so i must adjust it now, my screen was slightly off. I have one with a bit of the bottom of the chair

Very pretty model, and she looks quite relaxed and confident which
says something for your own people skills…Good too to see the bottom of the chair; leaves the model floating
just as jb suggested it would…I’m also curious: Where the hell is fairyville?
Guys now that you have pointed it out I agree I prefer the second one. Often you need someone outside to choose the true winning shot! Thanks for the nice comments, I try to keep everything as relaxed as possible in every area I work in and work on quite a friendly basis so subjects relax a lot easier. A photographer quite a while ago was giving me tips at a wedding and said the most oimportant thing I can have is a bit of banter and I carry that piece of advice everywhere with me since.
