OK guys,
first post in a few weeks. Below is my first try at car racing photography. As it was low key event i was able to grab a spot on Honda corner. I like the results for a first panning effort but would relish a chance to shoot inside the fence. If any photographers out there want to give me a shout if you have a pass it would be very welcome.
no edits apart from a resize and crop,
Any comments would be very welcome.
Paddy,
Thanks for the comments, agree on the tilting, i went a bit to far, i copped it on the preview of the camera. and correct these are behind the fence (blured grasss is a giveaway ;-)). no matter how much i beg i can not get a pass to get in front of the fence. i find it catch 22, publications want shots from inside the fence and to what you can do, i can not get inside the fence as i have no pass, can not get a pass from a publication due to no decent shots inside the fence….. and so on…..LOL
Well i am no stranger to begging so i will keep sending emails until i get a chance.
Best advice I can give you is to shoot a few static feature cars, get a good contact with a magazine, I can help you there, then try get access to grass root events, don’t just try and delve in at the top, insurance & safety issues these days mean that a lot of organisers are reluctant to leave people trackside, the idea being the less there, the safer it is.
