-
Adam.O.CParticipant
Im only starting to really focus on photography now as a hobby which really revolves around my love for motorsport and drifting. Last Monday, Mondello ran there monthly drift trackday for everyone and anyone to come and get as sideways as possible for as long as possible in what ever car they wanted. Heres what I captured. I hope you like them, the full set of images are available on my facebook… :P

sndipoMemberHave seen drifting a few times now myself and think it’s great! Would love to do it but lack of car and the finance it’s probably out of the question, haha. Not sure what they think of female drivers either :D Have been to Mondello a few times and every time been far away and no good lens with me (not knowing in advance of going) :( .
Not that many angles to capture drifting so it’s really to improve on the timing and detail every time, in my opinion. I can see that your camera needs a proper clean and would make the photos look a lot more clearer, too. Look it up from your camera manual or online and give it a go. It could not be the dirt inside the camera but in that case, wipe the front of the lens more often.
Well done anyway! :)Adam.O.CParticipantThere are plenty of female drivers in the drifting community and more are always welcome…:)
Yeah, for the main straight, you’ll need ad least a 200mm lens but for every other shot I took, 150mm was the max I needed.
Yeah the dirt was on the front of the lens from the tire shreds coming flying at me consistently so it would get annoying over a 7 hour day to wipe the lens every 5 minutes…:)
thanks..:)dejosheaParticipantNice Shots well done, the panning looks good. Think I saw these over on driftireland aswell.
Looking at the photos, id would say the dirt is on the sensor, on the front of the lens you would normally be focused through it, kinda like when taking photos through a fence! you generally won’t see it. Dirt on the sensor gets worse as you pan at slower speeds.
Adam.O.CParticipantcheers dude, yeah I stuck them up on there cause its the site I probably look on most…:)
I just cleaned the sensor the night before, but some must have clinged back on, thats just the drawback of using a camera thats almost 10 years old…:)
