Monitor Calibration

I’ve realised that my monitor is dreadful and badly needs to be calibrated.
Anyone know of any reasonably priced monitor calibrators out there, with good results?

I use the Huey Pantone Pro which is quite good so far on just monitors – I will probably get a monitor & Printer one next time though
get one of the new spyders
I have the spyder studio, which does monitors & printer calibration
but you can just get the monitor one

I use the X-Rite Pulse Color Elite System which allows me to cretaet profiles for my monitors and icc profiles for my printer. It is very good. However, the new rage is the ColorMunki also from X-Rite. http://www.colormunki.com/
This allows monitor, printer and projector calibration and is favoured by Will Crockett at http://www.shootsmarter.com Check his site for a review.
I used to have a Spyder but find the X-Rite gear more accurate.
Hope this helps.I have used both the Eye-One and the X-Rite and they seem to be both good. I have heard mixed messages on the Huey but I’ve never even seen one let alone use it.
I’m also looking at monitor calibrators at the min.
Kerso, a well established ebay seller in the UK, is doing the Spyder 2 Suite for £60.
I know there are a few versions of the Spyder. Is this a good ‘un?
I bought an i1 display 2 (x-rite) on ebay a while ago. Works like a charm. I took it as a very long term investment, something like a light meter or camera bag…
