Not Pete the blokeParticipant
Thanks for taking the time to all those who have commented. This one, which was posted in another thread has had more conventional processing, so it may be more to the taste of Ciaran and Si, as the eyes are not as dark and the skin has retained more contrast and detail. I used Ciaran’s method of lab colour mode to convert to mono, and ’20 10 -10′ on a colour balance adjustment layer to provide a sepia tone, at approx 25% opacity.
RobMemberFantastic Ross. While the processing used might not be to everyone’s taste,
it doesn’t follow that there’s anything wrong with it. I love the results you’ve
achieved and think they suit the different moods of each image. None of them
looks ‘airbrushed to death’ as is so often the case with this type of shoot.
Great model, and great work on your part…Rob.
Mick451ParticipantNice conversion on the last one, but I much prefer the original high key look; far more stylish.
I do agree her irises (?) may be too dark in the originals so it might be worthwhile processing the high key shots twice.
Once for the subtle skin tones and once for the eyes, as in the last image.
It’s an extra bit of feckiness, but could pay dividends.terryMemberRoss these are just beautiful. You have a beautiful model who works well with you and you with her. She really can play to the camera and it likes her
Fantastic work

DJHParticipantGreat portraits, love the composition, model looks very comfortable, not sure on the eyes yet but they are growing on me …
D.ciaranParticipantYeah.. I have to be honest, I prefer the last image. I think the contrast could be pushed a touch more. Nice shot.
Not Pete the blokeParticipantOk. last one of this series, and whether I am saving the best till last is a matter of personal opinion. I take all comments and criticisms on board whether I agree with them or not, and this one is an attempt to keep the eyes from going too dark, especially when compared to some of the others. I have also boosted the contrast slightly as suggested by some. Finally, I should stress that there is absolutely no skin softening involved with this processing – by brightening the skin so much it gives the appearance of skin softening, but that is a side effect of getting the skin tones the way they are. I finished by applying a duplicate layer with a gaussian blur, in overlay mode. It really brightened the brighter parts of the skin.
jb7ParticipantThat really is best til last-
Composition is great,
I really like the lighting with the shadow to the far side-
and the eyes are far better lighter-Good stuff

RobMemberA stunner Ross. Worth the wait, and worth checking
back on this thread for…Rob.
DJHParticipantBiddyParticipantSodafarlMemberRoss a brilliant set I prefer the first 2 to the 3rd but number 4 is “WOW” just brilliant. (oh and she is a pretty young lady)

Mick451ParticipantLovely stuff on that last one, her eyes are definitely far more ‘alive’ than in the first two.
I still like the second posted shot best – if you could do the same to her eyes there – but this last one is terrific too.
The shots have a definite ‘movie star’ vibe about them, hope she’s well pleased with the results.Mick.
fstop89564ParticipantFour thumbs up on that last one as well………….nothing against you Brandy but hell how could one go wrong with Frankie…………stunning woman!!!!!!!!!
just me two cents worth
