MOO Cards?!
-
Not Pete the blokeParticipant
Has anyone seen the new craze – MOO cards? Basically they are smaller than business cards, with a crop photo on one side, and your details on the back. Flickr are in association with MOO and if you do a web search for flickr and moo cards, you will find what I am talking about.
People are swapping MOO cards, making things with them etc etc. It struck me that they would be a very good thing to have a bunch of in your camera bag – take a photograph of someone, hand them your moo card and they can contact you by e-mail and/or visit your web gallery to view the photos.Oh, and dont forget to give them your photography Ireland card as well!!

FrankCParticipantem – the Photography Ireland cards are Moo cards.
Pretty interesting – got a set for myself – 16 different images to see which worked best (just 4 or 5 of them worked well).
On balance, think full-sized cards are better – thought the Moo cards are good quality and an attention-getter.

I wasn’t aware of that Frank, but I see it now, having checked Mark’s thread on referral cards. I only heard the name ‘MOO card’ today, via Flickr.
MarkKeymasterI have to order more Ross for you and orders.
Would agree with Frank that full size would probably be better.
That been said this little guys are unusual so might get some extra attention
as a result.Mark
FlipflipParticipantYeah I got a batch of 100 there a few weeks ago, I was fairly happy with them but Id like em to be a bit bigger.
PeteTheBlokeMemberCiaran could dish ’em out to auld wretches so they know where to find themselves!
cian.m.hayesParticipantI just got a set myself and I love them. One problem I did have was finding photos that I liked and that worked as half height cards. Obviously the compositon of the image is going to be different with such a different aspect ratio.
