Moonlit Christchurch Cathedral

Another shot to show from t’other night’s excursion… had to take away the bright orange cast from the floodlights to end up with what I hope is a more natural-looking night shot. I love the sky, I feel I could dip my hand in and swirl it about :-)

    Take it easy,
    D.

First comment on this would be about the Architecture-
    from where you shot-
    Its not great, is it?
    The angle doesn’t help,
    nor do the converging verticals,
    which can’t really be fixed,
because the base of the wall at lower left is missing.

    On top of that,
    the title is a little misleading;
    the clouds may be moonlit,
but the building is lit by those upward-pointing discharge lamps,
with the upside down shadows very prominent-
    not very flattering lighting-
    Though all that was available,
    at the time-

I do agree about the sky though-

    Just a few observations,
sorry they’re not altogether more positive-
