More from the Karokoram Highway

    These highly colourful trucks make there way up the Karokoram Highway at a very slow pace (15mph) as far as the last town before the border with China. At this point they meet up with an altogether more efficient fleet of Chinese trucks, and there is a transfer of cargo from one side to the other.

    And one of the road itself……..

    And a view from the road into a valley (driving trucks is a hazardous job)….

    This set of yours really are some of the most breathtaking shots I’ve ever seen on here. You have me reading a book planning my trip from Kashgar to Islamabad. Absolutely unbelieveable scenery in all that area. A complete other world.

    Thanks again for sharing

    Thanks;
    You should definitely think about doing that trip, its quite exciting. If you cycle at all, that would be the best way to do it. Only thing I would say against is that the food isn’t great along the way, on the Pakistani side anyway. I remember my first day in China I ate tripe for the first time; thats what happens when the menu is in Mandarin.
