Oops sorry Alan forgot to comment on image in last post.
Another fine one, you captured the sun in a particularly good place, you can almost feel the cold and I would be inclineed to go along with Robs advice and clone if you had it in mind for exhibition or competition.
Cheers.
Patjb7ParticipantRob, that’s another fine mess you’ve got me into-
oops, sorry, wrong slapstick-
However, those ones do come in two’s-If only you’d checked the numbers first-
Unless of course, we include all the photographers on the scene-
in which case, its a simple numeracy problem-Nice picture Alan,
save for the two boys on the trail of the Lonesome Pine- as has already been mentioned-Can’t fault it- sharpening being obviously resolution dependent-
Judging by the prints you make,
you should get a lovely one from this-j
Alan RossiterParticipantAh Rob, sure, where would you be going taking photographs on your own anyway? And, your comment on the stooges doesn’t really offend. I mean, We were out taking views of fresh surroundings, smooth contours, pleasent running lines, exciting angles, the beginning of life itself. As nfl eluded to, the “Huey, Duey & Louie” treesome tried to entertain themselves. (I wanted to make comment on a big bad wolf but that would be offensive and JB6 would probably produce a string of big words in return)
Appreciate the comments and thoughts, even Robs… but the 2 other stooges stay for now.
Alan
[EDIT] Jaysus, he got in before I could reply to Rob. Hi JB, thanks
nfl-fanParticipantWhat Rob doesn’t realize is that maybe he’d be as well off with the 2 6ft+ 17st+ stooges at his side when he’s out and about in Ballymun
Not saying that Ballymun is a rough place… but for a guy that looks so like Bruce Springsteen he could certainly do with a couple of stooges… sorry minders… keeping the fans in check!!!
RobMember:lol: X 100
Two stooges, erm minders… Ballymun is probably marginally safer than
Blanchardstown Shopping Centre on a Saturday afternoon. Anyway, I don’t
do so badly for a 5 foot 8 inch 10 and half stone stick of pure malevolence when I’m
out and about, though that may be more to do with my attitude of not giving
a sh*t where I go – there’s nothing more unnerving for someone with malice
in mind than to come across someone who couldn’t care less; I think it confuses
the poor dears…Back to the picture though. Fabulous really, and as Joseph mentioned this
should make a fantastic print…Rob.
nfl-fanParticipantmy attitude of not giving a sh*t where I go
OK… I dare ya to go up Sheriff Street with your camera… and a Glasgow Rangers jersey on :)
Brings back memories of getting chased out of the Fatima Mansions many years ago by an 8 year old with a concrete block… no BS :D
BTW: I bet Rob went home to this missus and asked her ‘Do you think I look like Bruce Springsteen?’ and then spent 5-6 moments in the mirror!
JMac-2006ParticipantMick451Participantmaybe he’d be as well off with the 2 6ft+ 17st+ stooges at his side when he’s out and about in Ballymun
Think it’d be an excellent idea to bring a pair of such fine big strong manly stooges along the next time you head over to Ballyer, Rob.
If nothing else they’ll provide you with a good photo opp by the sounds of it.getting chased out of the Fatima Mansions many years ago by an 8 year old with a concrete block
I hear the photo club critics in Ballyer are even younger and tougher than in Fatima Mansions.
;)nfl-fanParticipantka1miParticipantAlan RossiterParticipantIf it’s the original you’re referring to it was taken on the river Slaney roughly half way between the Enniscorthy to Bunclody road. If it’s the one above it’s most likely Johns kitchen!
