Some more shots from the Irish ballooning championships in Waterford. I was fortunate enough to get a flight in one last night, and was rewarded with some gorgeous light

Pity about the foreground. Carrick definitely not showing its best side. I’m tempted to crop out the warehouses. What does anybody think?

    Wowee, lucky you John.

That’s what I call extreme landscaping.

    Some stunning shots there.

    Thanks folks.

Dee: I’d tend to agree, but looking at it, I’d prefer to leave a bit of foreground. I though about cloning, but then thought again, as it’d be a huge job. I might try to darken the foreground so that it doesn’t look so ugly.

Sinead: It’s a pretty amazing experience, when the burners aren’t firing, it’s really quiet and calm. It’s not cold either despite the altitude (the burners see to that!), it’s just so different seeing things from that height. I’d thoroughly recommend it if you ever get the chance.
