A couple more shots I got at the Lacrosse World Cup last year. Was my first time taking pictures at a big event and was using a friend’s camera. I am getting a camera for Christmas so I can take it up as a hobby. Just curious what people think of my photos. Am I crazy to be spending a couple of hundred euro on equipment or will i make use of the money through photography?
If you want to make use of your money, ask a financial advisor, if you want to take photos, buy a camera. These images are not bad at all for a start, you’ve chosen a difficult subject to photograph there. Welcome to the site!
Keep practicing. Get out there and take photos. Read books and magazines, look at other photographers work. Most importantly, have fun.

Trial & Error………………just take lots of shots using different settings………. that the beauty of Digital photography instant results. As above just have fun!!!

I am thinking of getting a Nikon D40x. Not really sure why I am getting it but it is the conclusion I came to after looking into it for a little while. I read a lot of good stuff about them and some bad stuff too. But overall it seems like a good beginner camera. I also looked at the Canon 400d but it is a little pricey for me at the moment, while the Nikon is a little bit cheaper
im a beginner my self and have the d40 whitch is easy to use and a great beginners slr and its 100 quid less than the d40x.
you can always sell it and upgrade down the line when you get more experienced.

So whatever they come up with out of the choices I gave them I will make do with. I can see myself becoming addicted to taking photos and posting them on this site. I can’t wait to get the camera and start taking photos.
