Moroccan landscape, early morning.

Liam2673Participant
Taken about 6.30am, last February, in the ante-atlas (Medlawa Valley), scanned from film onto disc.
DeeboParticipantAnother lovely shot.
The fold of the layers of the valley take you deep into the heart of the picture. Its only then you spot the small village on the steep bank of the right valley.
What an awesome place to live, but I bet the taxi to the nearest boozer costs a fortune :-)
DeeMr.HParticipantNice.. but a couple of suggestions which could improve it.
1. Try a bit of colour correction and see if you can remove any of that haze.
2. Maybe think about cropping the sky out of it – I think it will add to the drama if you cannot see the top of the mountains.Looks like a great place to photograph.

Liam2673ParticipantDeebo, no taxis or boozers up this direction. Mint tea with spices and loads of sugar is as racy as it gets.
Mr. H, point taken on Sky. In fact, when I got these films developed I was very disappointed with the results, largely becuase of the Sky being so bland and non-descript in them, a bad offender posted below. It was a little hazy there but there were still decent blue skies, so I was disappointed with that.
Morocco is a fantastic country for photography and a fantastic country in general. I couldn’t recommended it more highly, if you like getting off the beaten path. When I say this, I am excluding places like Agadir, and to a some extent Marrakech, which I wouldn’t have been a fan. But I’ve been there twice on hiking holidays, and it was superb on both occasions.
sevenjMemberLiam, I see this is a scan from the mini-lab. I’m guessing that you did no post processing?
Filtration would have helped at the time of exposure, however I think you could get a better image
with some minor adjustments. I find the dark area in the right front distracting. Some cropping would
improve things. JohnLiam2673Participantsevenj, I note your point on filtration, thanks.
re cropping, I agree cropping the sky out works. the dark area is a bit distracting, but difficult to crop it out without cropping out either the village or the nice ridge on the RHS.
Thanks for looking.
