Surprised there hasn’t been any comments on this yet. I really like the colours in this. The rock in the foreground looks good too. The only criticism I have would be the composition – there’s a lot of empty space in the water in the middle of the picture, this could probably have been solved with a lower viewpoint. That’s minor though, it’s still a great shot!
Mark.
sirvadMemberLiam_2673Participanti’d be a fan of this also, very nice light on the larger rock in the foreground….i cant see the full picture on my screen, so its difficult to say for sure, but perhaps the sky is cropped a bit tightly. what do you think yourself?
sirvadMemberthanks Liam. On the crop, i think its fine. there was alot of empty space above de clouds so it wasnt needed. thanks for taken the time to look and comment.
DanBParticipantCool sunset colours Sirvad. Very nice!
There is a struggle to see the whole image unless you want to follow the link and check it on flickr. Maybe you can post the smaller size of it, the 800 or 640 pixels height version, that will fit the screen on most monitors and will do you justice by showing a sharper version of the Mournes. The softness is due to the compression of the uploaded image, I’m sure it’s OK in the original.

last one was 800 on large side. here is a medium version, lets know if this is better. thanks very much for kind comments.DanBParticipantIt’s better and the mountain’s silhouette is sharper ;) !
Sorry I had to put you resize and re-post the image, I usually use F11 to see full screen the browser, but it doesn’t work for every image on this forum.
sirvadMemberRobMemberEasier to see properly with the resized version. I’d agree with the comment that
a slightly lower viewpoint to show a little more sky and a little less water might
be an improvement. Beautiful colours though, and a pleasant enough composition…
