i tried using the hyperfocal distance but came up a bit short…
taken lying on the ground at muckross house in ring of kerry with a lot of people looking at me and saying what a crazy tourist… oh well, i think it was worth it.
in ps – levels, darkened the sky, bumped the color a bit and sharpened..

    this is totally perfect!
beth..I know you said you thought Ireland was beautiful, but I have a feeling you could make just about anywhere a dreamy place anytime from what you’ve shared so far.

Such a wonderful photo and it knocks all the bluebell woods into a chocolate box for me. I find the dubious verticality of the house is annoying and I’m convinced you’ve lost some colour from the sky but I really like the overall effect. Good shot.

Wonderful image, despite the ‘dubious verticality’ as mentioned by Horace.
Beats the pants off the bluebells in my opinion too…

sorry guy, i’m a product of the american public school system (small words good), by ‘dubious verticality’ you mean its crooked, right? i’ve tried fixing it, but i can’t get it right.. its not leaning so much as it has a problem with the perspective, but if i change it then i can’t get the tulips to look normal. i’d love for someone to help me fix this so neither are leaning, if you guys have ideas, let me know. so far i’ve played with edit>transform and the tools found in there (pscs2). thanks for the feedback :D .

The crookedness is the issue, beth. If you added a crooked stile and crooked sixpence then you might excuse the little crooked house. Maybe.

I don’t think you need a perspectival (I’m making words up now, I think) alteration, just a minute clockwise rotation.

I’m fascinated by the sky, is that the untouched colour? It looks amazing.

when i rotate, the roof is still crooked… i’ve got some time coming up thurs-the weekend so i’ll play some more then. thanks for all the help. :D
the sky was burned in at the very top, the color wasn’t altered. i was lucky, it only rained 3 days during the 12 i was in ireland, it was threatening to rain that day, but it passed over with just a drizzle.
