Mushrooms

    Hi there everyone

I saw this collection of fungi growing on top of a large granite boulder, I’m amazed where plants can grow.

All criticisms and comments gratefully accepted, it’s the only way I’ll learn. :)

It’s a nice shot Paul but I don’t thinks it’s anything special. I find the cobweb distracting as well as the bright green background. An Autumnal background would have been much nicer, might not have been possible. I find photographing mushrooms very difficult myself, much harder than it looks. I’m still waiting to get a good shot myself but I’ve had fun trying.

I like this just as it is. A very nice picture showing the mushroom in its natural surroundings cob web and all. I like how you have processed it, just the right amount of saturation, lovely colours, all in all a very nice pic

    Very nice well done

    Thanks for the comments guys.

The image was shot in a pine forest, so the the choice of background was pretty limited, no matter what angle I looked the background was pretty much the same.

I like the cobweb too, and to be honest I could not see when I was looking at the mushrooms, I was first aware of it when I downloaded it to the computer.

This is my first attempt at photographing anything like this, do you think that the application of a true macro lens would change it in any way?

    Paul
