Oh you should check out Halfset – very cool Irish BandBlood or Whiskey – an even better Irish band :D

And cyclefly, jemson green, and bats. all very very good irish bands! :D
funny enough I got a HMV voucher for Christmas and was thinking of spending it on new Irish records……the one in particular I was looking at is Jape, has gotten great reviews. Halfset also look interesting.
Also the new Dr Millar…..he’s mostly brilliant (although i believe his new album is only out on cassette).
Pavement…..Slanted & Enchanted is a great album and a kind of foundation stone for a lot of the music of the past 15 years.
I think the current crop of Irish bands need to pick up a copy of “Naming your band for Dummies”….. :wink:
