Hi Isabella, by “Technically Flawed”…Does sound a bit harsh , sorry for that…..I am referring to the exposure in general and to poor compositions. You need to isolate your focal points more IMO, If your tutors are stating you dont, I would like to understand their reasoning. The foregrounds in 2 and 3 are distracting and all images are very flat.
This is all my opinion of course……I am an advocate of everyone seeing something different when they look at a shot….but……
as for flatness all were grey overcast days and i didn’t use a flash or any kind of lighting. the camera was borrowed and i didn’t really have the luxury of waiting for the weather. they were all spur of the moment in a way, though each did have quite a bit of thought.
as for isolating my focal points perhaps you are right. the printed versions are cropped somewhat whereas these are just the full size scans which is one thing but i will try to take this on board in the future.
