My daughter Savanna…

Just a few of my youngest daughter to start me off here. I have 5 kids and 2 grand children and 3 dogs a cat and a hermit crab. I love candids of them so this will probably be my most used area of the site. I welcome all comments and suggestions positive and negative as I am still learning.
This is her typical face she will make If she catches me aiming the camera her way…
My daughter is with the red bandanna on her head, her partner in crime Kanani is on the right. I don’t let her wear makeup like that and they also do not dress like that….this was a fun shot they wanted :wink:
This is a recent one I tried to do and older shot feeling to…I know I should have made her take the piercing out, but she wanted it in the shot.I like your style Manny…
That first shot in particular is wonderful, terrific sense of fun captured,
superbly composed and finished. Quite a pretty young lady too, full of
mischief I’d imagine…From the quality of these shots, and the others of Danielle, I’m guessing that
you’ve been at this game quite a while. Lovely work, and great to have some
new blood posting here. Welcome, and keep on posting…Rob.
Thank you Rob for the comments. I’ve been shooting for about 4 years now. 1 with my Fuji S5200, and coming up on 3 years with my Nikon D80. It’s still a learning experience for me.
It’s good to be here and hope to be a contributing member to the forums.

You have a really good eye for composition –
The processing in the first is a little heavy for me personally – but i agree with rob – there is great atmosphere to it ;)
The second is the weakest for me – too much space above the heads and no engagement with the viewer.
Third is my favourite – unconventional angle – a little too much softness in your choice of propcessing for me but it stands outWell done :)

Manny as usual Savannah is a great model and very confident in front of the camera. I agree with Rob on the first picture. Your pictures have come on 100% at least since the fuji days. When did the piercing arrive, bet she doesn’t keep that in during “Soccer”.

Thanks Soda, and yea shes not shy at all. the piercing was actually done about 2 years ago against my decision. My daughter Danielle did it and I had Savanna take it out. She just recently asked If she could get it done and now that she’s a teen I said it was ok. She proved to me she can set and get her goals in school so I had to keep my word. She does hate taking it out for soccer though
