I do think that the borders detract a little from the shots, they aren’t the best. Take a look here at a sample border that is quite popular at the moment https://www.photographyireland.net/viewtopic.php?t=17841. If you need assistance in replicating I have the details somewhere. I used to use borders a lot in the past but rarely do these days. Sometimes it’s best to let the image do the talking.
In relation to the 3 shots I think they are a little flat and soft in places. They could all take a little extra saturation and sharpening. #3 would be the pic of the bunch for me… it just needs a little TLC in Photoshop or whatever equivalent s/w you use to process your shots. There’s lot of fine detail in there that needs to come out to make the flower the extra bit special. Bit it certainly has the potential to be a lot more.
Keep posting.

PS. Punk – I do think you could be a little more constructive with your comments.
many thanks, Nfl-fan, i agree ,the borders where some of my first attempts,OTT,and as you say i rarely use them any more, as for the shots there was none if any pp on them, thats another thing im just learning, cs3 extended,at the minute i tend just to tweak until i like what i see then save it,thanks for the comments and pointers, i appericate them….Phil
I think the first one has potential but it need a little boost in saturation to bring out the colours and the background is nice and Blurry, seemed like windy day you captured it well.
Here my attempt , Sharpened and Boosted Saturation
