This one got as far as the short list for the John Murray show, but alas no cigar!

It did make it onto RTE news albeit for 1 second!

Three fine shots Garry really good compositions in all three it would be nice to see them processed without HDR especially the third one because its a really strong scene

A little tip also regarding the Flickr embed codes – select the ‘large’ size, and also remove the wrapping around the [img]section (basically removing the first and)

    Thanks for the comments.
John – I might try to re-process this as you suggest – re HDR , as the song says … its just a phase I’m going through
    Tom – I must re-read the “how-to” on loading shots …

very nice set well done!. Just a notch down on the HDR would be good though , it would perfect for me and well done on getting on the news

You either love it or hate it…..so they say! HDR that is not the Wicklow Gap  Three fine
shots and maybe a little overdone on the processing but if it is a phase you are going through,
then enjoy the journey  Where abouts is this charming little bridge?

As I recall it … From Glendalough take the R756 heading towards the wicklow Mountains National Park. I’d reckon about 2 to 3 miles … on your left look out for a signpost “Sli Chaoimhin” there is a lay-by (a small lay-by) where perhaps 1 or 2 cars might be able to pull in. That’s your spot.

I like 3, though I prefer the middle shot. It’s been years since I was up that way, I used to live near Bray, and was up that way a couple of times a year, and if I remember rightly, that road over the Wicklow Gap goes out through a little village called Hollywood onto the N81/Blessington Road. Seeing these, I must go up that way again one of these days.

As someone who’s not into landscape or HDR, I find these to be nice scenes & well composed shots. The processing is a bit much for me though & would look better toned down. Well done
