Yep. It works with my Sony point and shoot. Only problem is that the lens retracts when it’s turned off. I may have to get an old Fuji or similar. I used to have one but the battery life was terrible. Maybe that was just in the old days??
Excellent Noely :D Any chance you can make one for me??? Mine is my 18-70 kit lens and a magnifying glass  – hence the crappy bug shot. This thread could get interesting
I’ve threatened to post the set up before but never got ’round to it.So if ya haven’t got the money for macro lenses…..make yer own…experiment and post yer results…maybe we can design a super macro lens
Mark told me about this the last time i met him, didn’t quite understand what he meant, but now i see but can’t believe somebody actually came up with it, how many pairs of binoculars did you butcher to get it right? How is it connected to the camera, how difficult is it to focus? can it be used with an DSLR?
Amazing results!! Well done! :o
Thanks , ya have to manual focus by moving the camera in or out,I’m sure lots of people have broken binoculars lying around.10 x 50’s would be the best, due to the 50mm lenses. The rubber sleeve is actually the sleeve off one of these lenses.
You can pick up a cheap pair anywhere now for less than ?20…….time to get creative  I’m working on a dslr set up at the moment,I’ll keep ya posted.
