This is my little girl Jessica in a Crossed-eyes Stereo Gram. Works for some people.

    Closeup study….

Love the closeup study, great composition, expression and DOF. The whole image is a real keeper. Great shot.

    Hi oshead,

The Stereo Gram didn’t work in my case but the “2” images
    definitely work.

Both are really nice studies and #2 is really good.

    Well done.

    John.

    The stereo pair works fine,
how did you go about getting it?
Composition is a little awry, maybe,
perhaps she might have been better centered-

Close up is nice too- looks like a nice lens,
though as has been mentioned, the soft eye is perhaps unexpected-
    but a nice portrait nonetheless-
    great colour too-

Thanks for the comments 5faythe and fstop89564. I agree with you KWBarbs. The 2nd is a keeper alright. I’ll be printing it large soon. :)

Joseph: This is easy enough to do. Best get a scene with a bit of depth. I usually take the first shot and then move a little to the left and shoot the second. To create the stereo gram you then display the first to the left and second to the right.

The lense is the 70-200mm f4 IS. Cracking lense IMO.

Wow, that works really well. :)

Second shot is lovely, like the way the curl of hair wraps around the eye…

Really like the second one even though DOF is rather thin. Great shot nonetheless.

Thanks Mark… Me too. The wind was quite strong and it just settled that way for a moment :)

Miki thanks for the comment. I think the second one works because of her expression and the fact that the focus is on her eye to the front. The viewers eye is automatically drawn to it. Thus the eye to the rear being out of focus becomes less of an issue as far as the estetics are concerned.

    I totally agree.

I absolutely love the close up!
The colours, the movement in the hair.
Can’t point out something specific, the pic has a great feel to it.
