Oooh, so pretty! Is that an F430? An interesting idea to do selective colouring in this shot, it really makes the car POP (as does the wide angle).
Sgt_MajorMemberim not actually sure what it is.
I used the wide angle to make the front grill look mean, and the selctive colouring to make it look angry and mean too….
MikeanywhereParticipantJay KingParticipantThe car definitely stands out of the photo… I like it. You got the mean look too alright!
The selective colouring works well here, keeps the attention on the subject. Although did you miss the Carlsberg canopy that’s visible through the rear window? (not the best with colours so I may be wrong!?) It also looks a bit more in focus compared to the rest of the background.
The front left of the car as we look at it is a bit soft and has a slight halo around it… Looks like you added the blur in Photoshop? Which is probably the reason for the Carlsberg sign being in focus!
Sgt_MajorMemberwell spotted Jay – and you are 100% correct. I’ll tweak it this afternoon again.
ExpresbroParticipantDrooolll!!!…
If ever I win the lotto…. :(
I did a similar photoshop blur thing recently (using lens blur) and almost missed a small gap between the two subjects..horses..and the background. is easy to miss. I think in this case because of the high contrast between the bright Ferrari red and the b&w background anything like that is gonna stand out more. Likewise with the little tiny edges of b&w on the car body.
Agree though that it’s a great perspective…almost as nice as the car… :D
GrahamBParticipantCool car and equally cool shot.
Are you considering and advertising career?Sgt_MajorMemberIm not, no. I just like things that can go fast enough to kill me :o)
Bikes, Cars, anything with a fast engine really. If it has sleek looks too its a bonus!
SodafarlMemberWell Sgt_Major, If it was yours I am sure you would be pretty well known, I am surprised you could even get near the car, Were was it parked.
Great picture by the way.
