After dinner this evening I was cleaning up the kitchen when my five year old comes running into the kitchen telling me Patsy, our Golden Retriever, was bleeding pretty bad. I went into the front room to find many pools of blood and bloody foot prints. Upon a fast look I saw that she had torn off a toe nail back to her paw some how…..crap a fast wrap with some pads and off to the animal hospital that is open 24/7. They cleaned her up, gave me some pain pills for her with some other medicine for infection and sent us down the road. Man oh man and I was so looking forward to a peacefull evening at home with the family………with the wrap they did on her paw she looks like a boxer walking around with one boxing glove on……..in a week or so she should be back to her goofy old loveable self…..

    are his nails long?

    Thats a sore dose.

Dogs are tough creatures though and what might look bloody
sore to us might not be as bad to the Dog.

I’ll bet he still wants to play as before too !

Glad to hear she’s ok. It’s worrying when stuff like this happens, it’s difficult to judge how serious the situation is.
TLC seems to do them the power of good though.
