My Promise to you – Berlengas
-
erinParticipant
Well, I promised to show you lots of sun, so the Berlengas Islands its a great place to introduce you my little country.
Hope you like it.. who knows one day you come to visit me 8)
C&C ever welcome!! :wink:Sorry the number of fotos
Slainte :)
GrahamBParticipantThe third one is the pick of the litter for me.
The positioning of the sea gull is perfect. The colour in the first one is gorgeous and the same with the second
The colour of the rocks in last one looks a little weak. maybe it’s just my monitor though.
I have some shots of the grand canyon and the rock have the same colour.I’d love to see if someone has a method of enhancing the colour.
You are woman who is true to her word. You have brightened up my day.
Thanks
erinParticipantGraham, your name right? Well Graham, I should be thanking You? my world, my values and my photography its completely inspired in your world, in the emerald island.. don?t know why but Ireland it?s pure music, pure poetry to me? The irish people are so warm, true friends, honest people you know? Well, I could stay hear talking about you forever, but I must be boring you already!!
The photos? you?re absolutely right about the last one? I focused the treatment of colours in the water and neglected the rocks
About the method of enhance.. I used the PS CS2 for everything? and normally add selective colour with this tool.. also levels and curves treatment. That?s what I do in general.. but I like to apply a specific treatment to each image.
Hope you understand me? and please fell free to ask anything about the photos.. I have to contribute too to this community
Thanks a million Graham!!
GrahamBParticipantYou are more than welcome.
We will all have to meet up for drinks when you come over – a proper welcome
so to speak.Oh I do think you need to change your signature. Your english is great.
erinParticipantCount me in!! When I move to Ireland I?m expecting to know you all? with drinks and pictures? oh what a great mixture!!
About my English.. well, I have to think a lot before I write :D ? and I believe I must be saying some awkward things too? but I?m studding to improve that
GrahamBParticipantYou see some of us in here. There may be some you want to skip though.
erinParticipantKPMParticipantI like this series of shots, but the standout one for me is number one.
The colour of the sea & position of the snorkeller are just great. This is the sort of image that could sell very well to tourist brochures, or even to tourist operators to hang on their walls.
Rgds
Kevin
richiehatchMemberyeah lovely set of images… i too particularly like the first one… perfect composition and lovely colours… I do like the other 3 but perhaps getting there at a different time of the day when the light is more interesting could make them even better…! I have heard that sunsets can be spectacular over there…!
Regards
Richie
SwordieMemberIt’s the first one for me also.
The colours are super, composition spot-on, and one to feature on a brochure cover.erinParticipantThanks Kevin and Richie!! I didn?t have much luck with the sky.. no clouds at all? the islands can only be visited in the summer :(
I have to show you some Portuguese sunsets? but I bet in Ireland the sunset on the cliffs of your cost.. its just magic to our eyes :)Swordie, I just see your post now… thank you so much
neilmcshaneParticipantI am with the lads on this one.
Your first image is wounderful.
The colours and then the composition.RodcunhaParticipantI would pick the 1st and 3rd shots as my favorites from this selection Patricia.
and I would pick both because of their compositions, first the fantastic imaginary diagonal line witch you used to compose the shot and the second because of the way you fitted the seagull in the composition. Great work!
