I’d be interested to see this image in color, mainly due the detail being completely lost in the statue. And also because i think those light rails could be interesting. You may also want to try cropping bit off the top of the image as it does not benefit the image at all….
But please post the color version, i really would like to see that..

AlanIt is better in colour, just trying to get some decent looking B&W shots. This shot is straight out of the camera.
Made the sky darker myself as it was bland to begin with, thought the spire needed a good contrast with the background to have a chance of standing out.
If you use a levels adjustment with a mask so your just brightening the statue you can recover it but the mast is too dark to bring back here is a quick demo
Shooting a bit earlier when the sky has that nice deep blue looks really nice and if its cloudy (always is when i get let out :) ) well that can add drama
If there is a lot of orange light polution in the sky try adjusting the white balance so the sky is blue can work miracles sometimes and is always worth trying.
