Hello All.. My first picture post on this forum. I work as a Freelance Photographer and was asked to cover a Fatal RTA in Co Tipperary last week. Not one of my favourite jobs to do. It was truly an horrendous accident – a Car had ploughed into a house after a collision with another vehicle. The other driver sadly lost his life. This vehicle in the attached image, was being removed from the front drive of the house, using a Forklift . The picture requires little words, suffice to say, that the vehicle almost took two more victims, narrowly missing the Gaurda beneath who had to jump out of the way.. I submitted the image together with the other images of the scene. This shot made Front page of the Irish Independent. A First National Front pager for me.

The second image shows the Audi Car crashing to the ground.

I was to find out the next day, that one of the children passengers in this vehicle was related, albiet distant to my wifes Brothers Wife.. A very small world and just a reminder of how delicate this life’s balance is..

Well done on your images. Unfortunate of course that there had to be a terrible tragedy in the first place.

Sad situation. But what a great job; I especially love the framing of the 2nd, there’s a real sense of movement and drama there. Congrats on a well deserved front pager!

Helen and Aimee, many thanks for the comments. – Deebo and Mark, you are of course right, it is a real shame that tragedy makes headlines.. I was shocked myself to find out the next day that ( albiet distant.. ), my wifes brothers wife’s Nephew was in the back of the car.. He is now making a recovery and out of ICU . Thanks again for looking
