Needed Badly Scanner

would like a flatbed scanner, wouldnt be flush with money but the last scanner, died. I bought it on Gumtree and now am a bit hesitant to buy second hand but if anyone has a scanner in good shape which will suit me as I want to experiment with it and digital art in quite a big way.
All offers considered.
Annabout 5 years ago i bought a canon neg scanner from amazon, i think it was around 45 pounds sterling and it still runs grand to this day. You can scan colour, slide and B+W, and it also works as a regular flatbed scanner. Its worth looking around the web for deals.
