    Hi all,

I am new to photography and have been going out on Sunday mornings with my oldest son to take shots in Dublin City.

I would love some feedback and comments on these pics. Please be gentle….

hi milo, good on your for posting! i’m not the best at critique but practice, practice, practice is the only advise i can give.

it’s obvious from your photos that you’re trying out different things, like composition, dof, etc so keep practicing and post single photos onto the critique section,
you might get a few more responses.

    good luck!

Hi Milo and welcome to the site, the critique sections are the Landscape, Street,
Wildlife, Macro etc……choose the appropriate section to put up your shot usually
one or two will get a better response than lots together.

You have some good ideas in your shots, particularly like the one of your boy holding
back the Luas :) also like the Eason clock but maybe would be better without the
lamp post in the way, keep an eye on backgrounds and be aware of what is included
in the frame, it is so easy to get too focused on the main object of your picture and
to forget what is encroaching in the frame.

Keep at it………it is great fun.

Thank you shutterbug. Yes I am still seeing the great shot but not the detail.

Please tell me what you think of this shot.

Most of us recognise this shot and can tell where [almost to the metre it was taken].
I’m wondering how those not familiar with the area would understand it.
