New Diana = The Diana + ?

davedunneParticipant
The rumors could to be true. The Lomographic Society seem to be bringing out a new Diana called the Diana plus.
You can read about the camera here http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ko&u=http://seoulordinarydays.tistory.com/tag/%ED%86%A0%EC%9D%B4%EC%B9%B4%EB%A9%94%EB%9D%BC&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=3&ct=result&prev=/search?q=%22diana%2B%22+camera&num=100&hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US (translated from Korean by Google which is fun in itself).
Over on Flickr, there is even a new group for the Diana + which was created by the “Online Sales Director for the Lomographic Society International”.
No word on pricing but I’m sure it won’t be cheap.
davedunneParticipantThe following is from Michael Kuhle, Online Sales Director for the Lomographic Society, as posted on Flickr.
I can’t release all the info about the camera just yet, but I can confirm a few things:
1. The Diana is being re-made and reissued by Lomography, under the name Diana+
2. It will have a removable lens and pinhole function (which is awesome, by the way).
3. It will have two image formats – for either 12 or 16 square shots on a roll of 120.
I don’t have the final pricing but I can tell you this – it will be a lot cheaper than the $95 Diana that I got off of Ebay last year!
Once we have a firm launch date, we’ll be releasing more info and sample images at both the Lomographic blog (http://www.lomography.com/blog) and this Flickr group.

(will probably be inundating Dave with questions :? )
jessthespringerParticipantDenverDollParticipantjessthespringerParticipantDenverDollParticipantNone yet…but it came with two (three really..one already in the camera) rolls of expired agfa color 120…will give it a go in a couple of weeks when I have time for a wander to a location I have in mind. Will post then..
I am tickled pink. I am more excited than when I got my last DSLR..is that weird? Also Sinead~~~
Maybe you and I could get a Holga Day going late in the summer???
Anyone interested?
Need to get out with the fantastic plastics soon!
EddieParticipantThe Holga day is a good idea. good luck with the “lady”, I have one of the orignals that I have never used, must stick it up on the classifieds and let someone get some use out of it. It also has a roll of film 1969 and the original flash and box. I will stick with the Holga for the moment but need a bit of inspiration as I have not taken many images with it lately.
jessthespringerParticipantA Holga day!!
me me me, pick me, pick me!!
(someone else here does that.. always makes me laugh!)
DenverDollParticipantEddie~~ wow..why not list it here…better yet, hang onto it!
I got to see one from the ’60’s when I bought this one…but the lady wouldn’t part with it for the world.
Glad to hear there is interest in a Holga outing. I do have an ulterior motive. I need help from you with the experience!
Sinead too~~I’ll go put up a notice in the events section to see how much interest we can gather. :D It seens like a few have fairly recently bought Holgas and there are some here who have used them forever, and it would be great to get an idea of how many members actually own them!
