New Lee BIG Stopper 10 stop ND

SteveDParticipant
Hi folks,
I was just wondering if anyone has used the new Lee 10 stop ND filter? I currently use the B+W 10 stop, which introduces an awkward warm cast to images.

The Lee is about £90, but it would suit me better as it can be used in my existing Lee filter holder, and with any lens. I would only want to buy it however, if it was actually neutral.
I would like to hear the experiences of any users!
Thanks.
StevecathaldParticipantI think I remember Gary Mc Parland saying he was using one Steve
I wonder if it is as effective as the screw in b+w version re light getting inrichiehatchMemberGood man Steve…
I’m in the exactly the same boat with the B+W. Its a great bit of kit but quite painful to use especially when ye want to stack a Lee Grad in front it…! Trouble is the Big Stopper seems to be out of stock pretty much everywhere at the moment…! Have one on order for a week while and no sign of it. I have read somewhere that there is some type of foam “gasket'” around its edges to prevent light leakage. Thing is since I read that I havent been able to confirm it. Let me know if ye get one will ye.
See ye

FocusedParticipantHello, I’m curious, what would one use a 10stop filter for? Really, really long exposures? But of what?
MarkKeymasterFocused,
Typically they’re used for long exposures during the day… Can be very interesting. That said I’ve never used mine.
Must sort that out shortly :)brendancullenParticipantHi Focused,
Here’s a few examples of the “10 stopper”
I’ve got one on order for quiet a while – and I believe the B+W ND110 3.0 1000x will be available again shorthly. It has been unavailable for months.
It reduces the light by a factor of 1000.
If anyone is selling a 77mm version – PM me.
ciao
